Do you mean as a pie filling? If so, it would be really sweet. I have a peanut butter filling recipe here that would work great in a pie crust.

Wow this frosting is outstanding! I promised family I was going to bring a peanut butter cake. I was going to cheat and just add peanut butter to a ready made white frosting. The frosting in my cupboard had expired so no way was I using. Had to make it. I looked around for a frosting that included ingredients in my kitchen. So glad I found this one. My go to from now on … no more cheating. Thank you so much for sharing!

10 stars, no 20 stars for this recipe! I added probably an additional 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream and it still piped beautifully. The salt from the peanut butter perfectly balanced the sweetness of the powdered sugar and I LOVE that there were only 2 cups in this recipe! This frosting got rave reviews! Thanks so much!

This recipe is outstanding! I’ve also made it without the vanilla and it’s still outstanding! Just be sure not to over-mix it once you’ve added the cream. Peanut butter recipes can stiffen up very quickly, so believe it when Danielle says to only mix it for one minute after adding the cream. You’ll be rewarded with a terrific tasting frosting that is especially good on dark chocolate cake. 🙂
