I felt that the butter wasn’t quite enough for the dry topping mixture. I’d add another tablespoon of butter. Also, 25 minutes wasn’t quite long enough to bake it. The apples were way too firm. Putting them in the small baking dish actually made a thinner pile of apples so in theory they should have cooked more easily, but that just wasn’t what happened. It was okay, but I probably wouldn’t make this again. If I did, I wouldn’t use Granny Smith apples (too tart for my taste), and I would probably thinly slice them versus dice them.

Made last night in the air fryer and enjoyed it! Put in @ 330 for 15 mins. I stopped half way through to mix up the crumble a bit and sprayed with PAM to ensure each bite had some crunch. Definitely recommend! Thank you!

This is the second recipe I try from this site and couldn’t believe I made this—it’s delicious!! I also made the caramel from scratch (so easy!).  Thank you Danielle for the small batch recipes.  The chocolate chip cookie recipe gave me the confidence I needed to bake.
