You could reduce the sugar to 150 grams in the batter. I don’t recommend reducing it in the topping, but you can omit the topping.

Can I sub 1/2 the flour for whole wheat flour? (So recipe would be 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose flour.)

Thanks

Yes, absolutely! It would be fine to bake them without liners too, just be sure to spray or grease your pan first.

Hello I just love this recipe and honestly would not change a thing. I used vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream and I grated my apples to make sure they would cook in the the allotted baking time. They were so moist and delicious. I placed the glaze in a bowl next to the muffins to allow the option. Just perfect and thank you for sharing.

The only suggestion I’d add is the calorie per serving option.

Delicious. The crunchiness of the crumble topping with the softness of the muffin and the apples is divine. Perfect quantity of cinnamon.
