I made this cake a few years back and it has now become the family favourite. This is the only cake they ever ask me to bake and it’s awesome everytime. I usually just use yoghurt instead of the sour cream and it turns out just fine. I even make this whenever we go on picnics and everyone loves it!

Yes, it’s okay to bake it and add the glaze the night before! Just be sure to let the cake cool completely before you add the glaze.

This was absolutely outstanding!!!! I followed it to a t and everyone raved about it. Was the hit of the get together. So moist and fresh. Just incredible!!!!!! Oh, one thing I recommend to do differently is butter and flour the pan to keep it from sticking. I used the spray and it was not sufficient. The whole top of the cake stuck so I glued it all back together. That’s how amazing it was, no one cared.

If you’re saying you followed the recipe to a T and didn’t make any changes, then I’m really not sure. Not using room temperature ingredients, not mixing together ingredients properly, etc. can affect the texture.

I have made this cake a handful of times, and everything I do, it is a huge hit ! It is easy to make, and it is so delicious !! I am reviewing the recipe now to make small bundt cakes with this batch, perfect size and equally delicious !!
