So glad you enjoyed the bars! I’m not sure about the nutritional information, but you can plug everything into an online calculator to get an estimate.

Made these today! Delicious! Used regular Rice Krispies and old fashioned oats and regular sized chocolate chips. Turned out great! Would recommend keeping in fridge very tasty treat! Reminds me of a healthy peanut butter Rice Krispie treat

You can use old-fashioned oats, just keep in mind that they’re larger so the bars will be chewier.

Do I have to use quick oats for these? I would much rather use regular old-fashioned.

I don’t cook the oats, but you can toast them if you prefer.

Hi, Rebecca. I’ve made these a few times and double checked the recipe and it’s not missing an ingredient. I know it does seem like a lot of dry ingredients, but you really have to work the mixture together and press it down firmly into the pan. If you find that they’re dry still you can certainly reduce the oats or add some more peanut butter. I do appreciate your feedback though, this is a recipe I plan to revisit soon and make a little easier to work with 🙂

I’ve tried them twice and found they were way too dry as well. I did use natural peanut butter so I thought maybe the lack of oils in that was the problem, but I added a tablespoon or so of coconut oil and they were still way too dry. And I only added about 2/3 of the dry ingredients, it would have been just crumbs if I had added all of them. It does look like an ingredient is missing.

Hi James, I’m really sorry to hear these turned out dry for you. I double checked the recipe and it’s correct as written. If you feel that it’s too dry you could also reduce the oats or cereal in the recipe, or add more peanut butter like you mentioned. The mixture is very thick, but should hold together once you press it firmly in the pan and refrigerate it.
