It’s really hard to say without any information. There are several reasons it can fall though – the egg whites weren’t beat long enough, the dry ingredients were over mixed, the pan was greased, the cake was underbaked, the oven door was opened too much, or the cake wasn’t cooled long enough upside down.

I made this cake today and used egg whites from a carton.  Cake turned perfectly.   It is delicious too.
