Love these cookies, I haven’t been able to have a chocolate chip cookie for year. These are so good my family can’t even tell they are egg free.

These are better than traditional! It seems like the ratio of brown to white sugar is higher than usual? Anyway whatever the flavor difference is, I love them. I just happened to be out of eggs so I found this recipe. They’re soft but crispy at the edge, and taste so good. The dough is a different texture than I was used to but they spread just the right amount. I may make these next time even if I have eggs.

Can sugar substitutions be used for the white and brown sugars?

I made these for my grandson as he can’t have eggs. These are easy and delicious. Honestly the taste is great!
It also makes a nice batch. I got approximately 20 cookies with my cookie scoop. On my oven it took about 15 minutes. Will definitely save this recipe. Thanks

Hello! Thank you for posting this recipe. All is good except for the fact that I don’t have cornstarch—are there any substitutes I can use? And is it necessary to include cornstarch in the recipe? Thanks!

In reply to Karen. I haven't tested it, but if it's one that substitutes 1:1 for all-purpose flour I think it may be okay.

Can these be made with gluten free cup 4 cup flour? I have a little grandson that is allergic to wheat as well as eggs. Really looking for a flavorful chocolate chip cookie without those ingredients is difficult. What do you think?
